I really wonder why SCS Software has not yet included challenges like in this game to their other simulations. They don't feel nearly as realistic as in ETS2 and ATS and that's really a shame since this game was made by the same developer so there is potential for this game to be as realistic as the others. The one big flaw the game has in my opinion are the driving physics. There is another game mode where you can drive around parts of a recreation of the real Scania test track, collect bonus tokens and bring trailers scattered around the track back to the parking lot but that didn't hold my interest for very long even though it was cool to drive along the test track. Completing those challenges perfectly is quite the undertaking even with my hundreds of hours in ETS2 and ATS and I really enjoy those challenges. You will get points for completing the challenge, bonus points if you only use the first person camera and you will get penalty points if you touch any of the obstacles. The most fun part of the game for me are the "Dangerous Drives" presenting realistic scenarios like navigating through small side roads, delivering cargo through a construction site with very little space to navigate or driving along a narrow mountain road without any guardrails protecting you from potentially falling downhill. Then you get to participate in a competition which demands precise driving around obstacles. There are driving school challenges where you need to reverse into a parking space with your trailer for example.

Contrary to the other truck simulations by SCS Software this game does not try to emulate the everyday work of a truck driver but rather provides you with different kinds of challenges. Retrieved May 6, 2020.After playing ETS2 and ATS for more than 500 hours this game was a very welcome change.

The game was developed by their in-house game enginePrism3D and holds the official license of Scania's Young European Truck Driver championship, allowing players to drive a highly detailed Scania PRT-rangeheavy-duty truck. The game was revealed in April 2012 via the blog of the game developerSCS Software. The game also contains several video clips and photos featuring with the success of Scania in all kinds of fields. Time Reaction Test mode is designed to test players' reactions when they are in emergencies in four different scenarios. The Freeform Driving mode provides players with two sizable maps - one is the Scania proving grounds of Södertälje, the other is a fictional European city - both allowing players to enjoy ETS-2-liked deliver journeys. The Dangerous Drives mode offers multiple scenarios to test players' abilities to drive a truck, ranging from driving through cliffs to reversing free of parking lots with a trailer. The Competition mode highly simulated Scania's Young European Truck Driver championship, where players can virtually participate in the competition by levels. The Driver License mode features various driving trials such as parking and manoeuvring with a standard trailer, which allows players to enhance their basic truck-driving skills.
